Community Hails Brave Efforts of Mr. Takalatsa, Mr. Majoang, and DJ Free

Notorious thieves who broke in Built it
FICKSBURG – In a daring Friday late-night operation, the Meqheleng Volunteer Patrollers, led by Mr. Takalatsa (also known as These), Mr. Majoang, and DJ Free, successfully foiled a robbery and recovered a haul of stolen goods.
The patrollers received a tip-off that the local Built it store had been broken into and robbed. After obtaining permission from the Ficksburg South African Police Services, the team conducted a patrol of the Ficksburg CBD, where they spotted suspicious individuals.
The patrollers apprehended the suspects and commanded them to reveal their place of residence. Upon arrival at the scene, located near the railway line, the team discovered a stash of stolen items, including paints, plasmas, fans, clothing, wallets with photos, and various other goods.
The community, particularly from Meqheleng Re Kopane, was jubilant and relieved by the patrollers’ bravery. However, concerns were raised about the potential release of the suspects by the law.
The Meqheleng Volunteer Patrollers, who had earlier requested community support for their efforts, received a significant boost in morale and encouragement from the community following this victory.
In a surprising twist, it was revealed that the suspects had been living in a makeshift dwelling, cleverly disguised as a rubbish-filled hole under a tree. The dwelling, complete with camping chairs, was also used for washing and other daily activities.
The Meqheleng Volunteer Patrollers have urged anyone who has been a victim of theft and has not yet reported it to the police to come forward and identify their stolen property. The suspects, one from Extension 11 Meqheleng and the other from Lesotho, are currently in police custody.
The Meqheleng Volunteer Patrollers’ heroic efforts have sent a strong message to would-be criminals, and the community has rallied behind them in support of their vital work.
