Meqheleng, Ficksburg – In a statement released earlier today, Ward Councilor Lefu Motloenya announced that a significant portion of Zone 7 has been plagued by a persistent electricity outage.
According to Motloenya, the affected residents have been left without power for an extended period, causing inconvenience and disruption to their daily lives.
“We have been inundated with complaints from residents regarding the ongoing electricity outage in Zone 7,” Motloenya said. “We take the concerns of our constituents seriously and have promptly reported the issue to Eskom.”
Motloenya assured residents that Eskom has been notified and is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
“We urge residents to remain patient and to report any further issues to our office or directly to Eskom,” Motloenya added.
The cause of the outage is currently unknown, but Eskom has dispatched a team to investigate and repair the fault.
Residents are advised to keep an eye on the official Eskom social media channels for updates on the status of the outage and estimated time of restoration.
