WhatsApp Group “Meqheleng Re Kopane” Leads the Charge in Supporting Disadvantaged Children

MEQHELENG – In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the residents of Meqheleng have come together to support learners in need with school uniforms and shoes.
The initiative, driven by the WhatsApp group “Meqheleng Re Kopane”, has seen over 900 community members rallying behind the cause. The group, co-founded by Mr. Rashin, was initially created to assist in locating missing persons, but has evolved into a platform for community members to lend a helping hand in times of needs .
Parents who are struggling to make ends meet are placing requests in the group, and members are responding with donations of uniforms, shoes, and other essential items. Some community members have even taken it upon themselves to provide shoes for 20 learners at each of the six primary schools in the area.”We are not just a group for finding missing persons,” said Mr. Rashin. “We are a community that looks out for one another.
